Randy Swartwood, founder of At Home Personal Care began operations in Chicago, Illinois in 2000. The company matched a handful of qualified caregivers with one or two seniors needing a helping hand in their home.  Word spread and over the next few years the company began to attract new caregivers and clients in the Chicago land area. Eventually and without solicitation the company captured the attention of a large, long term care provider who acquired the operation and retained exclusive rights to the business in the Midwest.

 

Mr. Swartwood decided to continue to pursue the growing demand for in-home senior care and headed west, first to set up operations in Salt Lake City, Utah.  From there he expanded into offices in Dallas, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona.  Additionally, the company has expanded its service offering to include skilled therapies i.e. Nursing, Occupational, Physical, and Speech which are covered free of charge under the Medicare (CMS) benefit.
