Each Other?
Pharmacists can help you or your loved one’s get the most from their prescriptions and over the counter medications. Developing this important relationship and exchanging valuable information is the key to getting the best results from your doctor’s treatment plan.
Here’s a helpful list of questions to ask when filling your next prescriptions:
- What is the name of the medication and what is it supposed to do?
- When, how, and how long should I take this medication?
- Can this medication cause an allergic reaction?
- What should I do if I experience an allergic reaction to this medication?
- Will this affect the vitamins or supplements I am taking?
- Should I avoid alcohol, certain foods, other medications and/or activities while taking this medication?
- What are the side effects?
- Is there a generic version available?
- What should I do in the event I forget to take my medication?
- How should this medication be stored?
