At Home Personal Care’s Hiring Process

We employ experienced, compassionate, and reliable Caregivers who truly love what they do! Our staff is compromised of Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Health Aides, and Certified Caregivers. We look for qualities consisting of trust, compassion, dependability, concern and respect.
Once our Caregivers are hired, they are specifically matched based on our unique client profiling system. We ensure your caregiver is 100% compatible with your loved one. If for some reason they are not, we work diligently to rematch them with someone who is. This is our “100% Compatibility Guarantee”.
Our Caregivers are professionally managed by each At Home Personal Care office and are W-2 employees of our company, not 1099 subcontractors. We use state of the art “time keeping technology” in order to keep accurate scheduling and detailed billing. With this system, there is no room for error and we avoid all time discrepancies. Our Caregiver simply dials a number from our client’s home upon arrival, enters a code to begin the shift, and repeats this process at the end of the shift.
At Home Personal Care requires each of our caregivers to pass through our rigorous screening process to include the following:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in their field
- Pass a detailed screening and rigorous background check including Criminal and Civil
- Have a clean driving record
- Must have yearly TB testing complete
- Speak English and are legal citizens of the United States
- We provide workers compensation insurance and are bonded against theft
- Must be drug free and subject to random drug testing
- Must have fingerprint clearance card that is processed by the FBI
- Must be CPR/First Aid Certified
- Have excellent references
- Have experience in Alzheimer’s care, dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, and other senior related ailments
- Must participate in ongoing education and training
